Long time no post.

Hello everybody!
I am so very very sorry for my lack of posting.
I have been having such a busy few weeks! I am watching the Oscars right now, who do y'all want to win?
I am really hoping Black Swan and The Social Network take home some awards, they were GREAT movies. Maybe someday I will be there! I'm planning to do an internship in Los Angeles, hopefully at NBC, MTV, or Warner Brothers. Some place big. My school has various options for LA interns, so it should be a wonderful opportunity.

Also, speaking of movies, I saw Never Say Never (yes, Justin Bieber's film) and I must say, I have come down with Bieber fever. I'm a Belieber. I have a total new found respect for him now, after getting an insight to his life. He is a spiritual person, he grew up without much, his mom was a teen mom, he's just a real person! And genuinely kind. If you haven't seen it, you should ASAP because the director's cut with extra footage is only out this week!

Reasons why.

I write this blog for me.
It's a diary of sorts. Following my life. Life, which is lacking its usual excitement right now, perhaps due to the feet of snow and schoolwork I have, is a fascinating thing.
People LOVE reading about other peoples' lives. It's just a fact. Some people love reading about celebrities, but the real interesting reads come from average people. We all have experiences unlike anyone else, so why not share them? If you're reading this, stop for a moment and think about your life. You have had experiences that can never be repeated in the exact place and time that you had them. Sure, you can visit the same place twice but you can never have the same experience there more than once. That is why I love travel. It is full of novelty.
So, the moral of today's post is enjoy your life and the lives of those around you. If you share your experiences and learn about the experiences of others, you will learn something new everyday.

Busy busy busy.

Sorry for the lack of posts, I have been so busy at school!
There's like 3 feet of snow here and I just wish it was warm.
I haven't had a chance to play piano in awhile, but in a few weeks I'll be home again and will post something for y'all! PROMISE.
Basically, I'm swamped with work and it's only my second week back at classes.

I am seeing Emilia Dahlin perform tomorrow. Her father is one of my professors.

Let it snow, let it snow..

Back in school in Boston. Every college has a snow day but me!
All this snow makes me wish I could fast forward 126 days to SC.
Here's something to explain how I feel. I also love this song so much.

New love.

So last night I played guitar for the first time and I think I am in love. I play piano already so it's a nice change of pace. I think I may purchase one and start playing.
I need more followers on here. 


131 days! until my trip (to Virginia, NC, and SC, for those who don't know)
I start back at college tomorrow, I have mixed feelings about it.
Taking a class called "Creative Process" where I have to write an 80 page book about whatever I want, poetry, art, a collection of short stories, literally whatever.
Any suggestions to get my creative juices flowing?

Oh also! I saw the documentary "Catfish" last night, AMAZING. All you facebook lovers out there, watch it! It will blow your mind. Don't read anything about it prior to watching, you'll be in for a thrill.

The band Sons of Sylvia from Nashville is following me on Twitter!!! Yessssssss.
And, in regards to my last post about the internship, I've decided to apply to the one at CMT and another one at Warner Music Group Nashville when I am eligible. SO MUCH EXCITEMENT!!
To work in the music industry is my biggest dream and I feel like I may actually have a shot now.
If I am ever lucky enough to have somebody out there read this - I promise you from the bottom of my heart that I have everything it takes. I'm book smart, street smart, and independent, I know country music and its artists inside and out. I'm not afraid to give my personal opinion. I strive for perfection.
And, as country music is growing in popular culture it is my goal to show the world that it's real music, relatable music, and music that's got sparkle. 

Once in a lifetime opportunity - I WANT it.

Oh my god, I'm only a freshman in college, so I can't intern for 2 more years but honestly, I want to intern at Country Music Television. That would be a DREAM COME TRUE. I have what it takes, I am always up to date on country music and country stars and I am technologically savvy. I'm also extremely negotiable. Dream job. Let's make it happen.

Sparkly Dresses.

We've all seen Taylor Swift's massive collection of cute sparkly dresses.

I want one.
I love anything sparkly and it's a plus if it's sparkly and purple.
Her concert in Boston is June 25th, I'm going and I cannot wait.

"Mean" is my favorite track off of her new album, it's so catchy and I think it's her most country sounding song to date.

Speaking of the country, back to the Carolinas in May!!!! I CAN'T WAIT! It's all I've been thinking about lately, even if it's 4 months away! I love Boston, don't get me wrong, but I'm a sucker for Southern charm.

Also, sorry for such short posts lately, I have a cold :( so I'm sneezing every two seconds and it's hard to focus. I also haven't been singing much lately due to my sore throat, but hopefully when I'm better I could post a video or an mp3 track.

Spent last night in a beach house in Tiverton, Rhode Island. It was one of the most fun nights I have had in awhile. Also, I found out I'm headed back to the Carolinas this May! Couldn't be more excited!!!! I'm driving down with a few friends and I am absolutely ecstatic.
Today's post is short...I've got a busy day ahead, but more on that later...

I'm excited to say that tonight I'm going out for a much needed night on the town in a city I haven't spent time in for a long while. Good girl image aside, I have one sort of "rebellious idol" who I channel on days like this, the one and only Katy Perry. She's different, she can actually sing well, and Teenage Dream has been bumping from my speakers for awhile now.
I probably should mention something about New Years Resolutions considering it is after all a brand new year. I've got to say, I don't really believe in them. I mean really, does anyone go through with it?
If I were to have one, I suppose it would be to man up and declare my major as Communications and Music. I don't know why I haven't. I know what I want in life, I just don't know if Communications is the right choice for what I want to do? (If you don't know what it is I wanna do, go back to blog post numero uno).
Basically, I'm going to walk into my advisors office, sit down and ask him to go on Wikipedia and type in the name of my hometown. Then I'm going to have him scroll down to the list of "Notable Residents" and ask - How do I get my name on that list?
That's my goal. I want to be notable.

Take a chance and don't ever look back...

Happy New Year, y'all. 2010 was an amazing year full of love and travel and good times, here's hoping 2011 can show it up!
